Privacy Policy

Fasih is an app for memorizing Classical Arabic (Fus-ha) vocabulary. It was designed to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information.

The short version

Fasih does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. The app has no user accounts, does no tracking, shows no ads, and includes no analytics or third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

What stays on your device

Everything. Your review history, scheduling data, streaks, badges, settings, and any word lists you import are stored only in a local database on your iPhone. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Network access

The app makes no network requests. The entire dictionary and the spaced-repetition scheduler run on your device, so Fasih works exactly the same in airplane mode as it does online — which is also the simplest way to verify this policy for yourself.

Data you export or import

Fasih can export all of your data as a JSON file, and can import word lists from an Excel or CSV sheet. Those files go only where you choose to save or read them, using the standard iOS file and sharing dialogs. We never see them.

Deleting your data

Use "Reset all data" in the app's Settings, or simply delete Fasih from your iPhone. Either one removes everything, because everything lives on your device and nowhere else.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Third parties

Fasih is distributed through the App Store. Apple may collect its own information about downloads and purchases under Apple's privacy policy; that is outside our control and separate from the app itself, which sends Apple no data either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds optional sync — the updated policy will be posted at this address before the change ships.
